My Christian Faith

I am a follower of Jesus Christ and was very blessed to become a Christian at a very young age of about 7 years old. I trusted Him as my Savior and God; He has never failed me since.

Does this mean I led a flawless life without sin and without troubles? On the contrary! Becoming a Christian does not mean you are free from the normal trials and tribulations of this world and our physical bodies.

However, it does mean that I have a friend who loves me unconditionally and who has been and will be there to pick me up, comfort, guide and protect me, no matter what happens.

There are so many Christian songwriters with whom I have become familiar since subscribing to Sirius XM. There is a station called “The Message” that plays all of the most amazing songs written specifically about our Savior and about living life with Him as our loving Father, through good and bad times.

There are two songs written by two different artists that stick with me. Well, there are many more, but here are the lines that I think about all the time:

"The cross has made you flawless." Mercy Me*
"His mercy is relentless." For King & Country*

This is the basic message of what He has done for us. God’s mercy is relentless and He chose to send his Son Jesus to be crucified on a cross to pay for our sin; we are now flawless!! When we accept this precious and free gift, God looks at us and sees His Son Jesus.

John 3:16-17 New King James Version (NKJV) says: For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.

He loves us!! Acknowledging our sin and accepting this free gift of salvation from God through Jesus Christ, is all one must do to know God and have eternal life.

I try to love others as Jesus loves us and I pray that I will show grace and kindness to everyone I meet. Another quote comes to mind from a Christian group:

"Mercy and grace and compassion...they’re only words without action. Love is the evidence." Citizen Way*

I will never be perfect, but I strive to reflect the light and love of my Savior and God, Jesus Christ.

1 Corinthians 13:1-7 & 13 in the New Living Translation says: If I could speak all the languages of earth and of angels, but didn’t love others, I would only be a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal. If I had the gift of prophecy, and if I understood all of God’s secret plans and possessed all knowledge, and if I had such faith that I could move mountains, but didn’t love others, I would be nothing. If I gave everything I have to the poor and even sacrificed my body, I could boast about it; but if I didn’t love others, I would have gained nothing.

Love is patient and kind. Love is not jealous or boastful or proud or rude. It does not demand its own way. It is not irritable, and it keeps no record of being wronged. It does not rejoice about injustice, but rejoices whenever the truth wins out. Love never gives up, never loses faith, is always hopeful, and endures through every circumstance.

Three things will last forever—faith, hope, and love—and the greatest of these is love.

Not just for weddings!

This is my website and my story; I pray you are blessed by it. I chose to share this because this is who I am and the reason for my videos. God created each and every one of us as unique individuals, with strengths and weaknesses. He knows us by name and has given us our bodies; they are a gift and moving is a privilege, so do it joyfully!
